The Ten Commandments

Notice there are 10 commandments and the number 10 means:

Number Ten:
 Perfection of Divine Order

"To reach the destiny we must know the purpose"

Exodus 20:3-17

It's important to understand the time of the writing of the ten commandments....

"under the law"

as a natural law

does this make them now null and void?

The answer is
NO.....
It actually strengthens them in force and power and fulfills as the scripture declares in

Matthew 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come  to destroy, but to fulfill.
fulfill: to complete, to carry into effect
Now as you look into the scripture in Pauls writings under the new covenant we find two phases that he speaks about.

( The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
)

My friend notice the first man is of the earth, and the second man is of the Lord from heaven.
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
even tho the ten commandments were written in the O.T under the law they were fulfilled and made complete by carring them from a natural law to also a spiritual law.
we are a nation that is being called to a higher calling
God did not and does not intend for us to ignore them or delete them from our lives, However he does intend for us to follow and obey them both in the natural and the spiritual side of our life.
as we know that the O.T is a type and shadow of the N.T
the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former.

(Hebrews 8:6-10 )
(6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 For if that first
covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this
is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
)

Notice in verse 10 he didn't destroy the law but  he put them into our mind, and wrote them in the hearts of his people. and thus developed in us a more intimate and personal relationship with us.
MY friend the O.T was simply preparing the path for a season of restoration and fulfillment in the body of Christ.

Let us take a look now one by one at the ten commandments:

1.Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Look at the word before:
meaning in front of, Superior to.
II Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Today, we have made Gods of our problems.

Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two master's
The writer Paul also writes in:
II Corinthians 11:2
For I am Jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:35-54

35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
