Friendship…One of The Greatest Gifts in Life
If there is one thing we can do in life, it’s picking our own friends. True
good-friends are there in good times and in bad, when you’re happy, when you’re
sad, when things are going well and when they’re not. A friend is someone to
call when you want to uplift your day. They are there to support and encourage
you and tell you that life is going to be OK. And a really good friend is going
to tell you the truth whether you want it or not. Friends make you laugh and
there’s nothing greater than sharing your life with your true friends.
Proverbs 18:24
24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Have you ever had someone do something for you, and you could tell that they
kept you in mind every step of the way, making things they knew you would love
on that special day. Something produced with and brings love, friendship and
happiness. And you and your friend enjoy the process together. Even though we
want success from it (and I believe that’s going to come), the most gratifying
part is the process of sharing, laughing, reminiscing and influencing others to
have as great a friendship as you can experience.24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
An evening of conversation, stories, life and sharing. It makes you feel so happy to know that you have really great, wonderful close friends. I have friends from all walks of life: some abroad. And I have so many other wonderful friends that make me happy to be around. Even if we can’t see each other all the time, knowing they are there if I need them makes all the difference in the world. You know the line from the song “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor? “You just call out my name, and you know wherever I am, I’ll come running to see you again…”. Nothing could ring truer.
And that special day never has to
stop, because even the days following become very special.
