Wait

Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah 40:31 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
My friend this is a promise that cannot be matched.....But again it's so important that you fully understand what  the promise/word is saying to us....so many times we get caught up with emotional excitement that we fail to do more than just read the word.

2 Timothy 2:15
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

In order to walk and obtain the promises of God we must learn how to study with purpose, because in studing with purpose and knowing that new levels brings new devils of warfare. all things will work together for my good, if I'm called according to and walking in his purpose.
As we look at this promise in the book of Isiah, I've heard this quoted and quoted  by people from the pulpit of america's churches, and never explained.
Notice if you will the promise is not to every one, but only to them that wait......
Now the question I find is do we really understand how and what it is to wait.....You can't do something you don't fully understand . and you become spriitually frustrated and than the enemy minipulates you and uses it against you...that is what the scripture means when the word says in
2 Corinthians 3:6
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
but the scripture is very plain in saying:
BUT THEY THAT WAIT
The word wait is unique because it's much different than we think, it means to wrap yourself in and around someone or something as a vine enter twines around lattice, to bind together by twisting.
So now we realize that in order to obtain the promise of Isaiah 40:31 we must enter twine or wrap ourselves in and around the presence of God.
and this must be done not only when everything is going good but when times are rough.
Because the promise remember is only to them that wait.....We tend to think that if we go to church and pay tithes and give offerings that all the promises are ours...when the bible sets requirements that we must heed to in order to obtain the prize.
Philippians 3:13-14
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Now that we understand we must not only wait, but know how to wait...it's now important that we must know what and why we are waiting or what and who we are wrapping ourselves  in and with.
"Upon the Lord"
the first is a command to wait, now God is giving us direction and purpose, To many times we are told to do things and we don't understand why we are doing it, WE ARE JUST DOING IT BECAUSE SOMEONE TOLD US TO.....so we have no purpose. and without purpose there is no destiny.....
Now and only now can we begin to enjoy the promise of Isaiah 40:31 when we have fulfilled the first part.
Promise 1
 SHALL RENEW THEIR....
WOW.......first of all the word shall is a covenant word, a promise, a contract between you and God. then to realize the covenant God has made with us it only gets better.
Renew-to restore, to renovate to revive
their strength...
STRENGTH:  to be firm; vigor force. the capacity or means to produce: ability, able fruits,to be powerful with substance...
Hebrews 11:1
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Promise 2
Again notice not to everyone just they......shall mount to ascend on high to be active and mount arise up at the break of day. to excel.a superior or controlling influence, authority and domination.
up...Not down
with....this word is so powerful because if you leave this out you change the entire meaning of the promise...
with-In company or possession of denoting association or relationship
wings- To soar and fly
as Eagles...Oh my friend now we begin to see the power that we can be empowered with when we understand the promise and the requirements of the promise.
Eagles- To lacerate (to tear,  to afflict sorely to mangle)
God empowers us to ascend  to high places where the enemy is and lacerate cut down afflict sorely and mangle the works of the enemy.  I'm sure you have heard that old gospel song:
"I'm going to the enemies camp to take back what belongs to me"
after we have cut down and mangled the enemies plans, by the power of God
Ephesians 1:18-22
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Now the bible proceeds by saying again not to everyone just THEY SHALL the enemy can't hinder, stop or delay anymore.....
they shall
RUN- break down divide speedily guard
and=being a mathematical equation you can begin to add things that not God alone but that you and I will done thru the empowering that God is and has done in us.
and not be.....wow shout church
weary-To gasp to be exhausted to tire to toil, faint
to
WALK-march prosper, pursue, exercise to whirl as a tornado or whirlwind with a great emotion.
and not
Faint-tire from a wearisome fight.....
